Bleeding Silence
Silence is deafening
Sharp as a razor
Quickly slicing without mercy
Blood that bleeds never returns
Pain heals at the speed of a fractured bone
Sometimes, even slower.
You sliced without care,
Didn’t even blink an eye.
Your aim was dead on.
You knew what you were doing
And now…
The blood has pooled…
Antagonizing me at ever turn
Showing me that I am weak.
I must figure out how to get back
The piece of me that I gave you.
As hard as I might wish
I will not be able to watch when
The razor swings your way.
I will cover your wounds
and hold your tears.
That is who I am…
And yet…
That is not enough for you.
